Dr. Mark Sanders, M.D., FACS

Hendersonville/Springfield/Clarksville, TN

Dr. Mark Sanders is a board-certified general surgeon with nearly two decades of experience treating complex vascular and vein diseases. Since 2008, he has been performing Venefit™ and other advanced vein procedures, helping patients achieve relief from varicose veins, spider veins, and chronic venous insufficiency. Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Sanders relocated to Tennessee, where he has been providing expert vein care to patients in Hendersonville, Springfield, and Clarksville. 

 

Education & Training 

 

A Greensboro, North Carolina native, Dr. Sanders earned his B.S. in Molecular Biology from Winston-Salem State University. He went on to receive his medical degree from The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Dr. Sanders completed his General Surgery residency at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, part of the University of Virginia Health System, in Roanoke, VA.

  • Fellow, American College of Surgeons (FACS) 

  • Active Member – Various medical and surgical societies 

 

Leadership & Community Involvement 

 

Dr. Sanders has maintained a thriving General and Vascular Surgery practice in Tennessee since 2008. He has served in several leadership roles, including: 

 

  • Chief of Staff at a regional hospital 

  • Board Member – HCA-affiliated regional hospital 

  • Committee Member – Various hospital advisory and leadership boards 

 

Patient-Centered Vein Care 

 

Dr. Sanders is known for his compassionate, patient-first approach to vein care. He believes that while vein disease follows a standard pathophysiology, each patient is unique, and their treatment should be tailored accordingly.

Life Outside of Medicine
