Dr. Chad R. Swan is a highly experienced, triple board-certified surgeon specializing in vascular, thoracic, and general surgery. With a deep understanding of the vascular system, he has dedicated his expertise to treating vein disease and has been performing Venefit™ procedures since 2014. He has been an integral part of The Vein Guys™ team since 2018, providing exceptional minimally invasive vein treatments to patients in Hendersonville, Tennessee. 

 

Education & Training 

 

Dr. Swan, a New Orleans native, earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and anthropology from Tulane University before obtaining his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his General Surgery residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, TX, followed by advanced fellowships in Vascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Passion for Vein Care 

 

Dr. Swan was first introduced to vein care and procedures during his Vascular Surgery fellowship in 2002, when minimally invasive treatments were in their early stages. 

“During my fellowship in 2002, I was initially skeptical of new treatments for vein disease. But after seeing the rapid and consistent improvement in patient symptoms, I knew these procedures were a must for my vascular surgery practice.” 

 

Life Outside the Operating Room 

 

Beyond medicine, Dr. Swan enjoys sports photography, snow skiing with his family, and vegetable gardening. He resides in Sumner County, TN, with his wife, Kelly, and their three daughters, Kathryn, Samantha, and Charlotte.
